Wholesale/Retail Insurance for Freight Forwarders

Freight Forwarders act much like shipping ‘wholesalers' for companies that don't handle their own shipping. They arrange for packing the merchandise, book space on ships, arrange inland transportation, and handle all the documentation involved in international shipments. The shipper pays the Forwarder directly for the service – which includes all the shipping, packing, and documentation expenses.

Most Freight Forwarders offer insurance to their customers under their own cargo insurance policies. (These policies are somewhat specialized for Freight Forwarders, but they work much the same.
